Kirkhams Metrolink Bridge 22nd January 2008

Kirkhams Bridge, Whitefield, spans the A556, M60 and M62. It carries the local metro link services. However the underground is what I was interested so down I went. The use of the underground is not known to me however recently it has certainly been used as living areas by the homeless and drinking teens. Needles also litter the entrance to the site so the possibility of it being used previously as a heroin den is very real.
